II. Showing God’s Love and Mercy to People

It is amazing to read Luke 15:11-32. This is the story about the prodigal son and the heart of the Father. It can be said that the son has trampled on everything the Father invested in him, and decided to build his life outside of the Father and his family. Life death the prodigal son a cruel lesson, and he decided to come back. Notice how the Father reacts – filled with genuine, limitless love.

III. Behind the Great Commission Stands the Great Commandment

If our heart is filled with passionate love for God, this love will be shown through our love for our neighbor. This is made absolutely clear in Mark 12:29-31. Without a doubt the Great Commission is based on our passionate love for God.
