United
We Stand

Sports, play, and fitness is one of the best ways to build relationships and make disciples of all nations. Learn how you can make a significant impact during the major sporting events that are coming to North America.

Who
Are We

Nations United is a collaborative effort between various organizations, churches, and teams. We exist to equip the body of Christ to utilize the major sporting events that God has brought to our door in 2026 and 2028 for the building of the kingdom of God in all nations.

Why Nations?

Jesus is very clear in Matthew 28:19 that we need to go to all nations and make disciples. The good news is that in His sovereignty, God is moving many nations to North America. We no longer have to travel to the other side of the world. Instead all we need to do is cross the street and invite people for dinner. Below are some key statistics about nations in the U.S.:

  • The U.S. foreign-born population reached a record of 44.8 million people in 2018. Immigrants today account for 13.7% of the U.S. population.
  • More than 1 million immigrants arrive in the U.S. each year.
  • Immigrants and their descendants are projected to account for 88% of the U.S. population growth through 2065.
  • 42% of immigrants in the U.S. speak Spanish at home. The other top five languages are Chinese, Hindi, Filipino/Tagalog, and French.

“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.” – Revelation 7:9

World
Cup 2026

Sports are an important part of this world. According to Nielsen Media Research, 4.7 billion people are involved in sports every year. Some people just watch sports, while others are avid and passionate players. This number is huge if you compare it to the 2.5 billion smartphone users. We cannot forget the power of sports. It is one of the best ways to build relationships with people and communicate the Gospel.

God has blessed North Americans with an incredible opportunity to host two of the biggest sporting events. In 2026, North America will host the FIFA World Cup. It will be the biggest world cup in the history of the world with 48 nations instead of the usual 32 nations competing for the title. It will also be the very first World Cup to be hosted by 3 nations. Over 3.5 billion people watched the World Cup in 2018.

In the summer of 2028, Los Angeles will be hosting the Summer Olympic Games, which is the biggest major sporting event in the world. Historically, various sport ministries and agencies were able to use such major sporting events to mobilize the body of Christ to use sport, play, and fitness to make disciples of all nations for Christ. Such events gave an incredible opportunity to build collaboration among ministries, agencies, churches, and governing bodies to expand the Kingdom of God.
